Our garden is a 30 by 50 plot in a sunny spot on the northeast side of our house. In the ground as of March 23, 2010, are:
Yellow onion sets
Potatoes (Red Pontiac, Yukon Gold, and a white variety whose name slips my mind)
Sugar Snap peas, Maestro peas
Oregon Sugar Pod peas (edible podded)
But that’s not all. We also have a separate bed of strawberries still green after being mulched with leaves all winter. And asparagus, which we re-did this year after the crowns failed last year. And a grape vine, sour cherry tree, red currant bush, rhubarb, three apple trees and a poor, sickly blueberry plant that just won’t thrive. In other words, wherever you could plant something in our yard to eat, we’ve planted it.
